Collecting every collectible in Super Mario Odyssey requires completing specific multi-step quests scattered across various destinations. One of the most involved collectibles in Tostarena is Power Moon 68, formally titled 'Round-the-World Tourist. Understanding the exact route and post-game prerequisites helps players finish this globetrotting quest efficiently without unnecessary backtrack delays.
Starting the Traveling Tostarenan Questline
To initiate the quest for Power Moon 68, players must first finish the main story campaign in Super Mario Odyssey. Once the main story is complete, return to the Sand Kingdom and locate the Traveling Tostarenan standing near a taxi beside the Crazy Cap shop. Speaking with him reveals his desire to explore distant lands, kicking off a long journey across multiple regions.
Following the Taxi Driver Across the Kingdoms
The tourist moves through a fixed sequence of destinations, requiring Mario to speak with him at every stop. You will first find him in the Metro Kingdom near the main plaza, followed by visits to the Cascade Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom, Moon Kingdom, and Mushroom Kingdom. Each interaction prompts him to give hints about his next vacation destination, so tracking his itinerary carefully keeps the quest moving forward.
Claiming Power Moon 68 in the Sand Kingdom
After concluding his worldwide vacation in the Mushroom Kingdom, the Tostarenan tourist finally returns home to Tostarena Town. Head back to his original location near the taxi in the Sand Kingdom to speak with him one final time. He will express gratitude for his adventures across the globe and reward you directly with Power Moon 68.
Essential Collection Tips and Optimization
Because this quest requires visiting several post-game zones, it is best combined with other kingdom cleanup objectives. Activate fast travel flags near key landing zones in each destination to quickly locate the tourist without spending extra time traversing maps. Following this structured approach ensures a seamless collection process while completing your Sand Kingdom checklist.
